First Impression

Don't judge a book by its cover,
is a classic thing people say,
to conclude better reasonings,
that will oppose their initial instincts.

They will fill you with insights,
whatever it takes to distort the
negativities living in your head
that you so truly believed in.

When the truth is that
your mind is capable,
to logically reason more,
than you ever credit it for.

I compromised a lot to see,
given my fair share of time,
initiate conversations to unbox,
who you truly are within.

Because if it didn't felt right,
at the very first beginning.
what makes you think that,
it would turn right at the end?

As your facade fades away,
they were shocked at your true self,
but honestly I've seen it coming
from the very first day we met.
